Expression of HLA-G in the human thymus. Cryostat section of human thymus showing the staining for HLA-G protein in the thymic medulla as revealed by the HLA-G–specific mAb IB8 using an immunofluorescence detection method. HLA-G–specific staining identifies stromal elements organized to form double strings of cells, sharply delimiting areas of tissue densely packed with thymocytes.
