The data for each construct represent the mean ± SEM of at least three different experiments in which 78–258 cells were examined. Valid comparisons could only be made among the three indicated paired constructs, where the number of rolling cells and the detachment resistance were equivalent at the site densities and shear stresses examined. The indicated statistical differences between experimental groups were determined by an unpaired Student's t test.
