The table shows quantitation done on one cryosection per cell processed for immunolabeling with the anti-annexin XIIIb antibody and protein A-coupled 10-nm gold particles. Samples were examined under transmission electron microscopy as described in Materials and Methods. Gold particles were counted in the cytoplasmic regions. For either apical or basolateral cytoplasmic regions the number of gold particles associated with the plasma membranes (apical, lateral, or basal) is also indicated. Seven cells were analyzed.
